4. Myers Welding
Myers Welding contacted us to inquire about a suitable motor and driver set for their application. After reviewing their requirements, we recommended the servo motor and driver sets that would best match their CNC plasma table.
They were interested in using servo motors due to tjeir precision, torque and speed but encountered a challenge with the motor shaft diameter. Myers Welding required a shaft diameter of 3/8" (9.53mm), while our available servo motors have a
shaft diameter of 14mm. They expressed concerns about the complexity and potential issues of using a speed reducer and an adapter to fit their existing setup. To simplify the system and maintain efficiency, we proposed using a motor with
higher torque and offered to customize the motor shaft to their required size. This solution would eliminate the need for additional adapters and make the installation straightforward.
Myers Welding appreciated our solution and initially decided to purchase four motors, with customization required for just one of them. They also requested an additional 5-meter cable for each motor set, as our standard sets include a
5-meter cable but did not meet their distance requirements. We assured them that we could fulfill their request for the extra cables.
Subsequently, Myers Welding decided to proceed with purchasing four motors without any shaft customization, opting instead for the standard motors. However, they still needed the additional 5-meter cables to extend their reach.
Additionally, they inquired about integrating their existing plasma cutter with our control card. To assist them, we provided a detailed connection diagram and comprehensive instructions, addressing their questions to facilitate a
smooth and efficient system setup.
Through this collaborative process, we were able to meet Myers Welding's specific requirements and ensure a seamless integration of our products into their operations. We look forward to continuing our partnership and providing
further support as needed.
